چکیده
لوکلزیو و میشل تورنیه، به‌ترتیب در آثار خود، بیابان (1980) و جمعه یا کرانه‌های اقیانوس آرام (1976)، قهرمانان داستان را از زندگی مدرن دور می‌کنند و به دل طبیعت می‌برند تا، در آنجا، هم با مفهوم زندگی آشنا شوند و هم با جایگاه خود. اینگونه است که سفر مادی، اندک اندک، به سفری درونی تبدیل می‌شود که ارتباط شخصیت‌ها در آن، با دنیای بیرون متحول، و به دگرگونی درونی منجر می‌شود. در این پژوهش، با توجه به اهمیت سفر مادی و نقش آن در تحول شخصیت‌ها، تلاش خواهیم کرد تا به پرسش‌های زیر پاسخ دهیم: چه ارتباطی بین سفر مادی و سفر درونی شخصیت‌ها وجود دارد؟ سفر درونی به چه شکل در هریک از دو رمان نمود می‌یابد و چه عواملی در پدیداری آن سهیم‌اند؟

From Physical Journey to Internal Journey: a Comparative Study of Desert by J.M.G. Le Clezio and Friday, or, The Other Island by Michel Tournier

چکیده English
Michel Tournier and Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio in their respective works, Friday, or, The Other Island (1967) and Desert (1980), lead their protagonists in nature, away from the material domination of the modern world, where they start not only the quest of life but a journey of self-discovery. Thus, the physical journey gradually takes another form, into the inner journey. What is noteworthy in both novels is that the trip is physically first, before turning into inner quest. In other words, it is thanks to the geographical shift that the world view of characters' changes. In this perspective, we tried to find out how the geographical shift can make the characters follow an initiatory journey and what the elements that transform a simple shift are in an initiatory journey.
